Update

While we are a state agency entrusted to help fund education through sales of Lottery games, we also have a responsibility to our many players and retailers. That’s why we want to share with you some of the ways we are working to help minimize the impact of COVID-19.

SOCIAL DISTANCING FLYER

POWERBALL

Due to a nationwide reduction in Powerball play resulting from COVID-19, guaranteed starting jackpots and minimum jackpot increases will be eliminated following the April 8, 2020, Powerball drawing. At that time, future jackpot starting amounts and increases will be based on current game sales and interest rates.

MEGA MILLIONS

Immediately following the drawing on April 3, the next new starting jackpot and the rate at which the jackpot increases will be established based on game sales and interest rates, with no fixed minimum amount.

Subsequent jackpot amounts will be determined and announced prior to each drawing.

RETAIL

  • In-Store Visits - Lottery Sales Representatives (LSRs) are gradually visiting retailers as long as local stay-at-home orders have been lifted.   LSRs will continue to contact retailers by phone or email to address any concerns. Retailers are also encouraged to contact their LSRs via phone or email with any questions. Retailers can contact the Missouri Lottery Retailer Hotline (1.866.665.6883) for assistance as well.

  • Scratchers Ticket Orders - retailers will continue to receive calls from Inside Sales Representatives and Scratchers ticket orders and deliveries will continue to arrive as scheduled.

  • All Lottery retail locations are reminded to practice frequent disinfection of Lottery terminals, vending machines and other Lottery equipment.

WINNING TICKETS

All Missouri Lottery offices are currently open for claims above $600, by appointment only. See MOLottery.com for more information.

EVENTS

The Missouri Lottery is proud to partner with each of these and many other events each year. We understand that the safety of our community is tantamount and, while we will be losing or postponing many assets associated with each sponsorship, we acknowledge and appreciate the difficulty in making these tough decisions.  We are continuing to work with these organizations to reschedule events where applicable.

The following have been postponed or cancelled:

  • GO! St. Louis Race and Expo for 2020 - Cancelled

  • KC Toughest Monster Truck Tour 2020 - Cancelled

  • Ozarks BBQ Fest (Springfield) - Postponed until June of 2020

  • St. Louis Cardinals Opening Day Rally - Postponed until MLB decision

  • KC Mavericks have cancelled remainder of current season

  • Springfield Cardinals have postponed their season in accordance with CDC and MLB guidelines

  • St. Louis Blues hockey season has been postponed until league decision

We’re all in this together, and we thank everyone for working to keep our fellow Missourians safe during these uncharted and challenging times.
